Lawyer Irina Yakimiv filed a complaint with the Federal Antimonopoly Service regarding the unjustified increase in fuel prices at a gas station in Rostov-on-Don. The agency issued a warning to the gas station owner about the inadmissibility of price gouging. A warning had previously been issued to two other companies.

As reported by "called the gasoline shortage one of the main irritants ahead of the parliamentary elections.

Lawyer from Rostov-on-Don Irina Yakimiv filed a complaint with the Federal Antimonopoly Service, claiming unjustified price increases for automotive fuel in the city, writes 161.ru on October 4.

According to the lawyer, she paid two thousand rubles at the gas station, indicated in her complaint the excessively high price of gasoline, and attached receipts - AI-92 costs from 100 rubles and above. The FAS responded to Yakimiv that the actions of the gas station owners were unlawful. The agency noted that it constantly monitors pricing in the oil products market. Recently, the Rostov department of the agency has already identified cases of inflated fuel prices at two regional gas stations, and they were issued official warnings requiring them to rectify the situation.

After Yakimiv's complaint, the FAS reported that a warning had been issued to the gas station owner to cease actions that contain signs of violating antimonopoly legislation, and the company complied with the warning.

"Since the situation with gasoline is not improving, and the fact of violating antimonopoly legislation has already been officially confirmed by the FAS response, I am preparing a lawsuit for damages against the guilty party. Such an opportunity is directly provided for by current legislation. Moreover, the presidium of the Federal Antimonopoly Service has already developed special clarifications on determining the amount of such damages," the publication quotes Yakimiv's words.

According to the Rostov FAS, one of the violating companies has already stopped unjustifiably raising prices, while the second is addressing the issue.

The fuel problem caused a sharp increase in demand for the installation of gas cylinder equipment. In auto services, customer queues have stretched for several months ahead, and the cost of equipment has nearly doubled. Analysts previously noted that the long wait forces motorists to turn to "gray" installers who do not guarantee the safety of the equipment.
