The election commission in Apsheronsk sued its member after he refused to recognize the election results.
The territorial election commission filed a lawsuit to exclude Vladimir Kozorog from the commission, who previously refused to recognize the results of the State Duma elections in the Apsheronsky district, voting against the final protocol and formalizing a dissenting opinion.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 30, member of the territorial election commission (TEC) "Apsheronskaya" Vladimir Kozorog stated that the TEC intends to file a lawsuit to recognize him as systematically failing to perform his duties. He linked the initiative to his earlier refusal to recognize the results of the State Duma elections in the Apsheronsky district, voting against the final protocol and formalizing a dissenting opinion.
The chairperson of the TEC "Apsheronskaya" S.I. Gvozdeva filed an administrative lawsuit to exclude Kozorog from the commission. Kozorog himself reported this today on his Telegram channel.
"I believe that the basis for the lawsuit could be my principled position, which I consistently defended during the election campaign and voting," Kozorog wrote.
On the eve of the TEC meeting on September 30, Kozorog spoke on the phone with the chairperson of the commission, who, according to him, assured him that the issue of filing a lawsuit against him would not be considered. Later, he learned that the lawsuit had indeed been filed.
Kozorog attached a photocopy of the court summons to the publication. According to the document, he is summoned to the Apsheronsky District Court as an administrative defendant, with the lawsuit filed by the chairperson of the TEC "Apsheronskaya" S.I. Gvozdeva.
Attempts to eliminate a principled position through judicial mechanisms raise questions among residents and undermine trust in the electoral system, Kozorog stated. He also reported that the meeting will be open and called on residents of the Apsheronsky district, representatives of the public, and the media to attend.
As of 11:54 AM Moscow time on October 3, there are no comments on the official portal of the election commissions of the Krasnodar Territory regarding the lawsuit from the chairperson of the TEC "Apsheronskaya" against Vladimir Kozorog.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that after the September elections, members of election commissions in Kuban expressed complaints about the organization of voting. For instance, on September 26, members of four TECs in the Prikuban district of Krasnodar pointed out in dissenting opinions the abnormally high turnout and speed of voting outside polling stations, as well as problems with voter lists, safe packages, and video surveillance.
On September 20, observer Ekaterina Burdyukova reported the opening of a safe with completed ballots at a polling station in Krasnodar.
