Azerbaijani soldier arrested in Armenia after attacking a villager.

The court in Yerevan has arrested Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musaev for two months, who broke into a house in the village of Shaki in the Syunik region and injured the owner.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on October 1, Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musaev was detained after injuring a resident of the village in the Syunik region. Earlier, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan reported that the soldier left his place of service and could have crossed the border.

On October 2, a court in Armenia arrested Azerbaijani citizen Nasimi Musaev for two months, reports "News-Georgia".

Musaev has been charged under five articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia, including illegal crossing of the state border, smuggling, illegal circulation of weapons, violation of the inviolability of the home, and causing serious harm to health.

In front of the building of the National Security Service of Armenia in Yerevan, representatives of the youth union of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" held a rally demanding not to extradite Musaev to Azerbaijan. The participants expressed concern about the security situation of residents in border settlements of Armenia and called on the Armenian authorities to use the issue of the possible transfer of the serviceman in negotiations regarding the return of Armenians held in Baku, reports News.am.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia provided details of the incident in Shaki. According to the agency, Musaev broke into one of the houses and opened fire, injuring a woman born in 1987. He then fled, but was later found in a neighboring house and detained. The injured woman has been hospitalized, her condition is assessed as stable, and there is no threat to her life. Medical assistance was required for her two children, one of whom has a wrist fracture.
