The sentence for a resident of North Ossetia for cooperating with the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been upheld.

The Supreme Court of Russia upheld the sentence in the case of a resident of North Ossetia, Alim Ibragimov, who was sentenced to 14 years in a penal colony for passing information about a Russian military facility to a representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the court's version, Ibragimov transmitted information about a Russian military facility and the consequences of an attack on it by drones to a representative of the Ukrainian armed forces via messenger.

Alim Ibragimov was found guilty of committing a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (treason). The panel of criminal cases, having considered the convict's appeal, found no grounds for mitigating the punishment for the crime under this article, - reports the Russian Legal and Judicial Information Agency, citing the Supreme Court.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in April 2024, security forces detained a man in North Ossetia who, according to the investigation, intended to join a Ukrainian armed formation. The case was investigated for attempted treason, and the suspect was arrested.

In October 2022, a 21-year-old Savely Frolov was detained at the checkpoint "Verkhny Lars". He was arrested in a criminal case for preparing to switch sides to the enemy.
