"Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "SVO Statistics: Losses in Southern Russia are Increasing".

Earlier, news of the death of a fighter from the Baksan district became known at the end of July. At that time, authorities reported that a border guard Alim Kazanov was killed in the Bryansk region.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, according to the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Deny Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. In particular, the widow of one of the killed recounted that without a body, the battalion did not make payments related to the death of the serviceman.
