Suleiman Kerimov has become a senator from Dagestan for the fourth time.
The powers of a member of the Federation Council - representative from the People's Assembly of Dagestan of the eighth convocation were unanimously granted to Suleiman Kerimov.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in December 2007, Kerimov was unanimously elected as a representative of the People's Assembly of Dagestan in the Federation Council. In February 2008, the upper house of the Russian parliament confirmed his powers. 1In September 2016, Kerimov was re-elected as a senator from Dagestan in the Federation Council. After the next elections to the People's Assembly of Dagestan in September 2021, he retained his status, as stated in the biographical reference.

Kerimov was appointed to the position of senator by unanimous decision of the deputies of the People's Assembly of the republic.
He has represented the Dagestani parliament in the Federation Council since 2008, and has been part of the committee on financial markets and monetary circulation, on the budget and financial markets, and on the regulations and organization of parliamentary activities.
The composition of the People's Assembly of Dagestan of the eighth convocation includes 90 deputies, of which 69 are representatives of "United Russia", 11 representatives of "Fair Russia", and 10 representatives of the Communist Party, reports "Interfax".
Recall that on October 9, 2024, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, speaking about the conflict surrounding Wildberries, mentioned the senator from Dagestan Suleiman Kerimov, State Duma deputies Bekhan Barakhoev and Rizvan Kurbanov. On January 30, the head of Chechnya published a joint photo with the senator from Dagestan Suleiman Kerimov, to whom he had threatened blood revenge against the backdrop of the conflict surrounding Wildberries in the fall of 2024. The reconciliation between the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and the senator from Dagestan Suleiman Kerimov took place in the Kremlin, where both were invited by Putin, said the head of the Russian Muftis Council Ravil Gainutdin.
