Kadyrov reported to Putin about Chechen electoral records
During the voting days of the State Duma elections, Chechnya took first place in voter turnout and in the number of votes for "United Russia," reported Ramzan Kadyrov to Putin. He praised Kadyrov, recalling "Grozny in the early 2000s."
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 22, analysts assessed the abnormally high result of Ramzan Kadyrov in the elections for the head of Chechnya, noting that the electoral absurdity "no longer surprises anyone." According to the Central Election Commission, after processing 100% of the ballots, Kadyrov received a record 99.85% of the votes, while his opponents Ismail Denilkhanov and Khalid Nakayev received 0.05% each. Thousands of students from Chechen State University were involved in a flash mob in honor of Kadyrov's record and formed the composition "We are KRA."
From September 18 to 20, elections for the head of the republic, local parliament deputies, and municipal campaigns took place in Chechnya. In particular, elections for the city council deputies were held in Grozny. Residents reported that the preparation for the city council elections was not accompanied by candidate campaigning. "Caucasian Knot" has prepared a report "Electoral campaign in the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District in 2026".
On September 30, Ramzan Kadyrov participated in a video conference that Vladimir Putin held with newly elected regional heads. The meeting was dedicated to congratulations and guidance on how "important it is to justify the trust placed by the people."
Kadyrov assured Putin that "all tasks set before the republic will be fulfilled" and boasted about the organization of elections in Chechnya.
"Voting was organized, with a turnout of over 95 percent. I specifically noted that the republic took first place in turnout and in the number of votes cast for the party 'United Russia'," he wrote in his Telegram channel on the evening of September 30.
Putin, in turn, wished Kadyrov new successes. "We all know how Grozny looked in the early 2000s, and I remember how I flew over Grozny and how many thought about moving the capital of the republic to another place. (...) In recent years, thanks to your efforts and the efforts of your team, Grozny has transformed in ways that no one thought possible and no one dreamed of," his words are quoted by "Interfax."
"Caucasian Knot" reported that earlier Kadyrov was congratulated on the record by the heads of the republics of the North Caucasus: the head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Kazbek Kokov, called his victory in the elections in Chechnya "convincing," while the acting head of Dagestan, Fyodor Shchukin, called it "brilliant" and "unconditional."
Voter turnout results in several regions of the North Caucasus are fabricated, believes electoral analyst Ivan Shukshin (included in the Russian registry of foreign agents). Significant violations were also reported by various Telegram channels that monitored the election process.
