The applicant for the rally for fair elections in Krasnodar was forced to apologize.
A video has been published featuring the apologies of 19-year-old "Yabloko" activist Kurban Magomedrasulov, who applied for a rally against election fraud. He was detained near the Krasnodar city hall after the authorities refused to approve the rally.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 24, Krasnodar activist, "Yabloko" agitator Kurban Magomedrasulov submitted a notification for a rally on October 7 against election fraud in the Krasnodar city hall. The event was planned in the 30th Anniversary of Victory Park near the city center.
A Telegram channel associated with the security forces, "SMERSH of Kuban", published a video featuring 19-year-old "Yabloko" activist Kurban Magomedrasulov, who submitted a notification for a rally against election fraud, reports "Horizontal Russia. 7x7".
In the video, he was forced to apologize for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and for using foul language. Later, the video was posted by "Living Kuban", calling Magomedrasulov a provocateur who attempted to organize an illegal event.
At the same time, the publication "Protocol. Krasnodar" claims that the screenshot of the rally call, which "Living Kuban" used as evidence, was taken from a Threads account that appeared after the activist's detention and did not mention either Magomedrasulov or "Yabloko".
This Threads account, "War Correspondent is Watching", had six subscribers, and the post was published on September 30 at 1:00 PM - two days after the detention video and two hours before the publication by "Living Kuban". In the post, Krasnodar residents are called to the square with a drawn poster.
In the video, Kurban Magomedrasulov, whose face is hidden, states his name and says that he wrote comments online that discredit the Russian army and also used foul language. "I promise not to act this way in the future and do not advise others to do so," says Magomedrasulov in the published video.
The video in the Telegram channel is accompanied by a comment: "SMERSH of Kuban received information about how the Center "E" dealt with another traitor of the Motherland! Discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation entails criminal liability under Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation!".
On September 27, an unofficial Telegram channel of the Krasnodar branch of "Yabloko" reported that after the refusal to approve the rally, the applicant was detained near the Krasnodar administration building. The publication included his account of six administrative protocols - two for petty hooliganism and four under the article on "discrediting" the army. According to him, the reason for two of them was messages in a chat where he expressed his views on the war. Currently, this channel has been deleted, reports "Horizontal Russia. 7x7".
