The mansion of Vladimir Kaichev is up for auction.

Rosimushchestvo has put up for auction a mansion in Essentuki, which was seized from the former head of Karachay-Cherkessia, Vladimir Kaichev, with a starting price of over 55 million rubles.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the case of the former head of the government of Karachay-Cherkessia, Vladimir Kaichev, who is accused of organizing and leading a criminal community that also included his brother, was submitted for consideration to the court in the Stavropol Territory. In early September 2025, the court satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation for the seizure of Kaichev's property in favor of the state, amounting to almost 42 billion rubles; in December of the same year, the appellate court confirmed the decision on the confiscation of assets.

The Federal Agency for State Property Management has put up for auction a residential house and land plot in Essentuki, which, according to the Unified State Register of Real Estate, previously belonged to the former head of the government of Karachay-Cherkessia, Vladimir Kaichev, reports Kommersant on September 27.

According to the lot documentation, a plot of land with an area of 2.818 thousand hectares on Koltsevaya Street and a one-story residential house with an area of 308.7 sq.m. are for sale. The starting price of the object is 55.821 million rubles.

The EGRN indicates that the ownership rights for both objects were registered in February of this year by the Russian Federation. It is also noted that on July 1, 2025, a ban was imposed on registration actions with the house and plot, at which time the Prosecutor General's Office and Rosimushchestvo demanded to transfer Kaichev's property to the state.

Previously, an auction for the sale of the house was announced at a price of 57.262 million rubles, but it ended without results. In addition, it became known that in April of this year, Kaichev filed a cassation appeal against the seizure of his assets.

It should be noted that Vladimir Kaichev, his brother Yuri Kaichev, and two other individuals have been charged with organizing a criminal community (part 3 of article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), theft from a gas pipeline (part 4 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), extortion (part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and abuse of office (part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In addition, Vladimir Kaichev is accused of organizing a contract killing.
