The danger of drone attacks did not prevent the procession from taking place in Krasnodar.

In Krasnodar, a car procession, a run, and festivities took place on the occasion of City Day. At the same time, activists were denied permission to hold a rally against the construction of the Christmas embankment due to the danger of attacks.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", threats of aerial attacks became the official reason why the Krasnodar city administration refused to allow a rally against the construction of a church in the Jubilee microdistrict. Nevertheless, the authorities approved the car procession. Activists were outraged by this contradiction, as well as the fact that the car procession was planned against the backdrop of a gasoline shortage.

On Sunday, a run and a car procession took place in Krasnodar. The city administration denied activists who applied for a rally against the construction of the embankment and green zone on the same day. Officials justified the ban by the danger of airstrikes.

About two dozen cars with religious symbols and symbols of the special military operation in Ukraine participated in the car procession, according to photographs published by the publication "7x7. Horizontal Russia".

In addition to the procession, a run took place in the city on Sunday, with about 950 people participating, the city administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Festivities also took place on Krasnaya Street, which was temporarily made pedestrian in honor of City Day.

The head of the city, Evgeny Naumov, reported on other activities in his Telegram channel, in particular, a Master’s Fair.

Recall that on January 29, the deputies of the Krasnodar city council approved a decision to seize part of the park for the construction of a church. On March 19, 99% of participants in a public discussion expressed opposition to conducting religious rituals on the Christmas embankment of Krasnodar, however, the commission deemed the opinion of the opponents of the church construction insignificant and recommended that the mayor grant permission for religious needs on the embankment.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that as early as December 2021, activists opposed the construction of a new church on the embankment in Krasnodar, and residents of the Jubilee microdistrict also protested against it. Defenders of the embankment believe it is necessary to build educational and recreational facilities for children in the microdistrict.
