Over the course of a year, drones attacked the "Utrish" nature reserve in Novorossiysk more than 100 times, resulting in fires on 14 occasions. The total damage from the attacks is estimated at 118 million rubles.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 8, after a drone attack, a fire occurred in the territory of the "Utrish" park in Novorossiysk.
Acting director of the state nature reserve "Utrish" Dmitry Onokhov reported that over the course of a year, there were more than 100 drone crashes in the reserve, with fires occurring on 14 occasions, covering a total area of 71.7 hectares, TASS reported on September 25.
After the attack on September 8, five fire outbreaks occurred simultaneously, covering an area of more than seven hectares, and the fire was only extinguished on September 14. As a result of the fire, about 160 trees were damaged, including about 70 representatives of rare and endangered species, such as delta juniper and blunt-leaved pistachio.
The total damage from drone attacks on the reserve is preliminarily estimated at 118 million rubles, with the damage from the September 8 attack alone estimated at about seven million rubles.
