The Moscow City Court did not satisfy the defense's complaint about the extension of the arrest of billionaire Ibrahim Suleymanov from Dagestan, who is accused of organizing murders.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", since the arrest of billionaire Ibrahim Suleymanov from Dagestan, who was arrested in a case of organizing murders, 27 searches have been conducted in three regions, and 26 witnesses have been interrogated. One of the witnesses is classified.
Ibrahim Suleymanov was detained in Moscow in early October 2025 on suspicion of organizing the murder in 2004 of the former head of the Federal Service for Financial Recovery and Bankruptcy, Georgy Tal. Along with Suleymanov, the alleged executor of this crime was detained. The entrepreneur's lawyer reported that Suleymanov did not admit guilt. On October 3, the Basmanny Court of Moscow placed Ibrahim Suleymanov under arrest for two months. The entrepreneur is accused of three episodes of organizing murders, one of which was not completed and is classified as an attempted murder. On October 5, it became known that law enforcement conducted more than 40 searches in Moscow, the Moscow region, and Dagestan in the Suleymanov case. On October 6, it became known that three suspects were detained in Dagestan for their involvement in an attempted murder in 2021, which the investigation believes was organized by a native of the republic, entrepreneur Ibrahim Suleymanov.
At the hearing, the defense provided information about the serious illness of the accused, which hinders his detention in a pre-trial detention center. The lawyer pointed out to the court that when extending Suleymanov's arrest, the court did not take his health condition into account, reports "Kommersant" today.
Despite the arguments of Suleymanov's defense, the Moscow City Court left the first instance decision unchanged. Suleymanov will remain under arrest.
It should be noted that billionaire Ibrahim Suleymanov from Dagestan, previously accused of the murder of Georgy Tal, is also accused of the murder of the chairman of the trade union committee of "Vnukovo Airlines", Gennady Borisov, and the attempted murder of lawyer Ilya Peregudov.
