The condition of the housing infrastructure in Nalchik has given rise to criticism of the officials.
The pothole on the roadway near house No. 28 on Malbakova Street has not been fixed for almost a year, and after the sewer work near the entrance, there is still excavated earth, complained one of the local residents on social media. Other Nalchik residents, commenting on his post, criticized the officials and advised the residents of the house to contact the prosecutor's office.
One of the local residents filmed the condition of the area near house No. 28 on Malbakova Street in Nalchik. The video was published on September 19 by the Instagram* public chp.nalchik. The footage shows a pothole on the roadway. Then the author filmed the street itself: on the roadside, there is an excavated pit, and a metal barrier is installed on the road.
"This is Malbakova, 28, the first entrance to the yard, as you turn from Malbakova to Bogdanka. This pothole will soon be a year old, the asphalt has collapsed next to the manhole, the entrance is already narrow and there is nowhere to park cars, and something was done near the entrance with the sewer and just left it, there is dirt, now the rains will come and it will be muddy, children can't pass cleanly," noted the author of the publication.

Commenters, positioning themselves as local residents, criticized the utility workers and suggested seeking to resolve the issue through the prosecutor's office. "Why is no one reacting to this?" asked mila___g006.

As of 10:40 AM MSK, there are no comments regarding the residents' complaint about the condition of the area near house No. 28 on Malbakova Street on the websites of the Nalchik administration and the municipal unitary enterprise "Nalchik Water Utility".
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that Nalchik residents periodically complain about problems with road and utility infrastructure. For example, on September 18, residents of the city, commenting on a complaint about the condition of Atajukina Street, pointed to the lack of sidewalks, lighting, and pedestrian crossings, and the broken road. On April 29, residents of a house on Kadyrov Street complained about regular sewer accidents.
