A fighter of "Akhmat" from Kalmykia was killed in Ukraine

Alexander Burlutkin was born in Elista. In 2006, he graduated from high school. After school, he worked in various industries, mastering different professions, reported the state news agency "Kalmykia".

In 2023, Burlutkin signed a contract and went to the area of the special military operation. He was assigned to a military unit in Vladikavkaz, where he joined the separate battalion "Akhmat" as a private machine gunner.

He was killed on April 13, 2023, during fighting near Bakhmut. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

Thus, at least 261 combatants from Kalmykia have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation.
