The court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Zhamanov to five years in prison, finding him guilty of being absent from service for almost six months.

According to the case materials, serviceman Zhamanov unlawfully left his place of service on October 17, 2025, and reported to the military commandant's office on April 15 of this year. The investigation believes that he was at his place of residence all this time and spent his time at his discretion.

The Nalchik garrison military court sentenced Zhamanov to five years of imprisonment in a general regime colony, finding him guilty of unlawfully leaving his unit, the court's press service reported today on its social media page on "VKontakte."

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that earlier the court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Akhmed Shumurzaev to five years of imprisonment, finding him guilty of evading military service.
