A native of Bashkiria was convicted of sabotage on the railway in Kuban.

The Krasnodar Regional Court sentenced Anatoly Yansitov to 14 years in prison for setting fire to a relay cabinet on the railway near the village of Novoukrainsky in the Crimean district.

According to the investigation and the court, in May 2024, the defendant, acting on the instructions of a person he communicated with in a messenger, arrived at the railway tracks in the area of the village of Novoukrainsky in the Crimean district, where he opened the relay cabinet, poured flammable liquid inside, and set it on fire.

As a result of Yansitov's actions, the equipment was completely destroyed, traffic on the section of the railway was restricted, and 7 passenger trains were delayed for 3 to 9 hours. The material damage caused to JSC "Russian Railways" amounted to 451,907 rubles. He filmed the arson, reported the unified press service of the courts of the Krasnodar region on their Telegram channel.

The Krasnodar Regional Court found Yansitov guilty of committing sabotage and sentenced him to 14 years of imprisonment, with the first 3 years to be served in prison. The remaining part of the sentence will be served in a strict regime correctional colony. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
