A group of fighters who underwent training at the Russian Special Forces University has departed for the SVO zone from Grozny airport, reported Ramzan Kadyrov. The report was published against the backdrop of the campaign for the elections of the head of Chechnya, scheduled for September 18-20, in which Kadyrov is running for this position again.

In 2011, direct elections were not held: all deputies of the People's Assembly of Chechnya supported Kadyrov's reappointment for a new term, meaning he was voted for by 100% of the participating deputies.

Young people in Chechnya are being coerced into signing contracts with the Ministry of Defense, an administrator of a Telegram channel that publishes testimonies of human rights violations in the republic, reported in July 2025. "Sometimes this is presented as a 'preventive detention.' A young man is detained for something minor: suspicion of drugs, disobedience, subscribing 'to the wrong public pages.'
