The life sentence for eight defendants in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge in October 2022 has been upheld.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in November 2025, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don found guilty the defendants in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge in October 2022. Artem Azatyan, Georgy Azatyan, Oleg Antipov, Alexander Bylin, Vladimir Zlob, Dmitry Tyazhelykh, Roman Solomko, and Arthur Terchanyan were sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Military Appellate Court confirmed the life sentence for eight defendants in the case of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge in 2022, reports RIA "Novosti" on September 15.

The appeal against the sentence of the Southern District Military Court regarding Artem Azatyan, Georgy Azatyan, Oleg Antipov, Alexander Bylin, Vladimir Zlob, Dmitry Tyazhelykh, Roman Solomko, and Arthur Terchanyan was submitted for consideration to the court on August 3, according to the case card on the website of the Military Appellate Court.

In the section "Result regarding the person" in the case card, it is stated that "the court ruling remains unchanged".

Recall that according to the investigation, in 2022, the first deputy head of the SBU of Ukraine, Vasily Malyuk, and unidentified individuals created a group to carry out a terrorist attack on the transport crossing over the Kerch Strait. The explosive device, made on the territory of Ukraine, was disguised as a load of construction film. The bomb was delivered to the Crimean Bridge in a truck, whose driver was unaware of the explosive device. As a result of the explosion, five people died, two spans of the bridge collapsed, and 17 tank cars of a freight train were damaged.

In October 2024, the investigation announced an interstate search for Georgian citizen Alexander Inasaridze and Ukrainian citizen Sergey Andreychenko, accused of organizing the transportation of an explosive device to the territory of Russia, which was detonated on the Crimean Bridge in October 2022.
