Restrictions on flights have been lifted at five airports in southern Russia.

Restrictions imposed due to flight safety concerns have been lifted at the airports of Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Grozny, Krasnodar, and Makhachkala. A drone attack has been recorded in Krasnodar.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", today at 03:00 Moscow time, the operation of the airports in Vladikavkaz, Grozny, and Makhachkala was suspended. Restrictions were introduced to ensure flight safety, Rosaviatsiya stated.

At the airports of Vladikavkaz, Grozny, and Makhachkala, restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been lifted, Rosaviatsiya reported at 07:01 Moscow time on its Telegram channel.

"Restrictions were imposed to ensure flight safety," the agency explained.

In addition, similar restrictions that were introduced last night at the airports of Volgograd and Krasnodar have also been lifted, the publication notes.

A drone attack recorded in Krasnodar

The mayor of Krasnodar, Evgeny Naumov, reported last night on his Telegram channel about a drone attack.

"In Krasnodar, the signal 'Attention everyone' is sounding – a drone attack is being repelled. Residents and guests of the city, please remain calm and follow safety measures, proceed to a safe place," he wrote.

At 06:36 Moscow time, Naumov announced the cancellation of the threat. "Cancellation of the signal 'Drone attack'. If you find drone debris: report it by phone 112, do not approach and, if possible, do not allow third parties to approach until law enforcement and special services arrive," the publication states. Information about damages resulting from the attack is not provided in the message.

It should be noted that residents of Krasnodar have repeatedly pointed out the inaccessibility and unsuitability of shelters from drones. For instance, on August 9, a resident of Krasnodar complained that during an air raid alert, she could not get to a shelter with her children because it was closed.

On August 24, Krasnodar residents reported that during the night drone attack, they could not access the basements designated as shelters. On September 8, citizens again stated that some basements remain closed, and some rooms designated as shelters lack ventilation and safe exits.
