Residents of North Ossetia demanded effective measures from Menyaylo to combat the rise in gasoline prices.

The head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyaylo, urged gas station owners not to raise fuel prices. Residents of the republic, commenting on his appeal on social media, demanded to check the reasons for the increase in fuel prices, purchase prices, and the work of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", starting from September 8, within the framework of the "Own Region" program, the fuel release limit in North Ossetia for transit transport was reduced to 20 liters. According to the authorities, fuel and gas prices in the region are lower than in neighboring areas.

According to the head of North Ossetia Sergey Menyaylo, a large number of complaints about high gasoline prices have been received from residents of the republic. He held a meeting with gas station owners and urged them not to allow unjustified price increases for fuel.

"If the pricing policy of vertically integrated companies is balanced, then others often make decisions to raise prices. In the current realities, this is unacceptable. A large number of complaints are coming from residents of the republic," – quoted on its website the words of "Menyaylo Ossetia TV".

The post stating that Menyaylo urged gas station owners not to allow unjustified price increases for fuel was published by the Instagram*-public news_vladikavkaz, which has about 383.0 thousand followers. As of 1:00 PM MSK on September 12, this post received 141 likes and 63 comments.

Commentators demanded not to limit themselves to appeals to gas station owners, but to check the reasons for price increases, purchase prices, and the work of regulatory authorities. "Can we get a report on what price they are bringing gasoline at? Why is the FAS not dealing with these issues? What is their purpose?" – asked irinabekosha.

Users also called for the disclosure of purchase prices and noted the difference between network and private gas stations. "A good idea here in the comments, let them announce the purchase price. It's just unclear, the networks keep prices, while small stations change them every day, they don't even turn on the display themselves, you only find out the price when you refuel," – wrote vadimka_tug.

Some commentators demanded strict measures against private gas stations. "People are already tired of such arbitrariness from private stations. Bring the owners to justice to the fullest extent of the law, and that's the whole conversation," – demanded nika.mamsurova.

The effectiveness of yet another appeal to gas station owners was questioned by users. "And how did the owners respond? Did they listen?" – asked kharebovainga.

Other commentators linked the current appeal to previous statements by the authorities. "How many times have we heard this, and the price for 1 liter of 95 octane is sold for 125 rubles. A publicity stunt," – believes rozalina_saj.

The repetition of such appeals caused an ironic reaction from some users. "How many times already? They are always putting on a circus," – stated karishok___.

In the comments, specific fuel prices were also mentioned. "We are refueling at 120 rubles," – wrote albegov_001.

Recall that earlier Sergey Menyaylo ordered to send information about unjustified price increases for gasoline to law enforcement agencies if warnings from the regional FAS do not work on gas station owners. In response, local residents stated that regulatory authorities should monitor gas station prices themselves, without waiting for appeals from the public.

On August 29, the FAS of North Ossetia reported that five cases of illegal price increases for fuel had been identified. Residents of the republic, commenting on the agency's report on social media, considered the number of identified cases too small and pointed to the high cost of fuel at gas stations.
