A resident of Sochi was detained for filming the work of air defense.

Police officers together with the FSB of Russia detained a 37-year-old resident of Sochi who posted a video on the internet showing the air defense systems repelling an attack by Ukrainian drones last night.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", against the backdrop of the drone attack, Sochi residents were forced to spend several hours at night in shelters. According to them, this was one of the most massive attacks. The governor of the Krasnodar region, in connection with the fire at the oil depot after the UAV attack, urged not to create artificial panic at gas stations.

A man, who was in his apartment, filmed the operation of the air defense systems from his balcony. After that, he published the recording on one of the social networks, reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnodar region.

An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the Sochi resident under Article 4.17 of the Krasnodar Krai Law No. 608 ("Failure to comply with the requirements established by regional legislation regarding the behavior of citizens during the state of heightened readiness in the territory of Krasnodar Krai").

In the Krasnodar region, since September 2025, there has been a ban on the dissemination of information about drone attacks and their consequences, on filming the work of air defense, military facilities, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, the authorities of Kuban introduced fines for filming air attacks and the operation of air defense. A corresponding bill from the regional legislative assembly has been published on the "Caucasian Knot".

This article provides for a fine for citizens ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 rubles. In case of repeated violations, the amount may be increased. The materials of the case have already been sent to court for a decision.

The police of the Krasnodar region periodically hold residents accountable for filming UAV attacks and the operation of air defense. Thus, on July 24, police detained a 19-year-old resident of Krasnodar for filming the consequences of a drone attack. The girl was forced to admit her guilt on camera. On July 27, a 19-year-old resident of Krasnodar was detained for filming a UAV attack. The young man was also forced to admit his guilt on camera. Later, a railway station worker in Krasnodar was detained by security forces for filming a fire that occurred after a drone attack. This was followed by his apologies on camera.
