The Rostov court fined a resident of Krasnodar 600 thousand rubles for publishing comments justifying the activities of a terrorist organization.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don found a 25-year-old resident of Krasnodar guilty of justifying the activities of a terrorist organization.

According to the criminal case, the man posted comments on social media that contained statements justifying the activities of a Ukrainian paramilitary formation, which is recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia, writes "Utrennyy Yug" on September 3.

The court found the Krasnodar resident guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 600 thousand rubles. In addition, he is prohibited from engaging in activities related to website administration for two and a half years. The mobile phone on which he wrote the comments was confiscated and transferred to state ownership.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that in early August, a resident of the city of Donetsk in the Rostov region was suspected of publishing a comment on the internet justifying the activities of a paramilitary nationalist association.
