Evacuated residents of Akhtubinsk have been given permission to return home.

Residents of evacuated houses in Akhtubinsk, Astrakhan region can return to their apartments, as the fire from the burning wagon with liquefied gas has been extinguished.

"Caucasian Knot" reported that in June there was a fire on the Mozdok-Kazimagomed main gas pipeline, and residents of several villages were evacuated. The repair of the gas pipeline was completed after four days.

"In connection with the completion of the fire extinguishing work, a decision has been made regarding your return to residential premises. At the moment, there is no threat to the life and health of citizens," the message in the Telegram channel of the head of Akhtubinsk, Alexander Sivakov, says.

A wagon with liquefied gas caught fire on August 27 at the "Vladimirovka" railway station. About 300 residents living near the fire were evacuated to temporary accommodation points, reported Interfax, citing the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Astrakhan region.

Later they returned home, but on August 31, a decision was made to re-evacuate people from the risk zone, as the fire could not be extinguished. "According to the law, one can stay in temporary accommodation for no more than three days, so we will place people in a hotel," the head of the municipality clarified to TASS.

"About 40 evacuated residents from the risk zone remain in the hotel. The rest have gone to relatives or to their summer houses. All conditions for living have been created in the hotel - there are refrigerators, stoves for self-cooking," it was stated in Sivakov's Telegram channel on September 2.
