The announcement of the increase in utility tariffs has caused discontent among the residents of Kuban.

Starting from October 1, the payment for utilities in the Krasnodar region will increase by an average of 9.6%, the government has ordered. Residents of Kuban, commenting on this decision in Telegram, pointed out the low quality of utility services and the lack of comparable salary indexing.

Starting from October 1, the average index of changes in utility payment in the Krasnodar region will be 9.6%, according to the order of the Russian government dated November 25, 2025, No. 3413-r. From January 1, an index of 1.7% was established for the Krasnodar region, and from October 1 it will be 9.6%, as stated in the document.

Commentators, positioning themselves as residents of Kuban, expressed dissatisfaction with the repeated increase in tariffs and complained about the quality of utility services.

"Prices are rising, but they can't provide services properly! Hot water was turned off for maintenance for two weeks before, but this year they didn't have enough time for two weeks of work. It's outrageous, why should we even pay them this money?" – wrote Elena N.

"What services do they provide? Just false reports... We've contacted so many places... The prosecutor's office, housing inspections of the city and region... Nothing has changed," – complained Valentina.

"Is everything still going according to plan? Will salaries also be raised by the same percentage? And pensions?" – asked user SDD.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that Krasnodar residents have repeatedly complained about the quality of utility services. For instance, on June 20, residents of the city reported that they had to pump out water themselves because the utility workers did not respond to their requests. In July 2020, residents of Kuban expressed dissatisfaction with the increase in utility tariffs against the backdrop of power outages.
