A fighter from Dagestan was killed in the special military operation zone.

Rafik Begov was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 2089 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 29, authorities and security forces officially recognized at least 2088 fighters from Dagestan as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The widow of Rafik Begov, who was killed in the special military operation in Ukraine, was awarded the Order of Courage, reported the administration of the Khivsky district on its Telegram channel on August 30. Details of the fighter's biography and circumstances of his death were not provided in the report.

Thus, at least 2089 combatants from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who have been killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report from "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".

In June, the administration of the Khivsky district reported that Tarlan Velibekov was killed in the special military operation.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, as stated in the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three comrades served: how authorities deprive families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. "I receive only twelve thousand rubles a month for two minor children as a family of military pensioners," complains the widow of Vasily Shtylun, who received five million rubles from the "Veterans" unit for her husband, who was killed in 2022.
