Telegram users were outraged by the continued rise in gasoline prices in Dagestan.

Prices at Dagestani gas stations have risen, with the cost of a liter of AI-95 already reaching 149 rubles at some gas stations. The latest price increase has outraged commentators. Most of the previously closed gas stations in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk have rectified violations, and the resumption of their operations will be discussed, the government of Dagestan informed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", Acting Head of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin instructed to create an operational headquarters, strengthen control over fuel supplies and prices, and expedite the resumption of operations of gas stations closed for violations. Residents of Dagestan, commenting on these measures on social media, doubted their effectiveness and complained about high prices and a lack of functioning gas stations.

Some users condemned the constant price increases.

"This is how it is in Dagestan, they squeeze the maximum out of the situation, just like they did during Kurban Bayram and Uraza Bayram, just like they did during the COVID period, and now they are squeezing again. May the Almighty correct us," writes Rustam.

"I read this and am in shock. Yesterday I filled up, and what to do on the weekend, I have no idea. This situation is just exhausting..." commented Oksana Kondratyeva.

"In Izberga, 92 is 130 rubles," reported Mura.

The authorities reported on inspections at gas stations aimed at resuming operations, conducted by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Dagestan in conjunction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Rostekhnadzor.

"As part of the inspection of compliance with previously issued orders, the working group inspected more than 20 gas stations in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk. At a number of gas stations, most violations have been rectified. Based on the results of the inspections, the issue of lifting security measures and resuming the operations of these gas stations will be considered," the government of Dagestan informed today on its Telegram channel.
