According to the court and the investigation, the defendants Idris Israfilov, Gayirbeg Kuramagomedov, Omar Abdulayev, and Shamil Radjabov, while serving their sentences in a correctional facility in Dagestan, voluntarily joined and subsequently participated together with other convicts in the terrorist community "Jamaat," created between November 21, 2008, and October 28, 2011, on the territory of the correctional facility.

The defendants performed duties to ensure the community's activities, including informing other convicts about the community's activities, spreading extremist and terrorist ideology, attending classes on literature recognized as extremist materials, studying Islamist radical ideology and the practice of terrorism, the Southern District Military Court reported today on its Telegram channel.

In addition, the convicts sought and stored materials of an extremist and terrorist nature, including prohibited literature, audio and video materials containing calls for extremist and terrorist activities.

According to the court's verdict, the defendants were found guilty of participating in a terrorist community and were sentenced to imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony: Israfilov and Abdulayev for 7 years; Kuramagomedov and Radjabov for 6 years.

"The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed by the parties in the Military Court of Appeal," the court's message states.

Idris Israfilov was born on September 18, 1994, according to the record in the register of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring. Kuramagomedov and Abdulayev were born in 1991, Radjabov is 33 years old. All of them are natives of Dagestan.
