Astrakhan residents independently cleaned the riverbank of trash.

Residents of Astrakhan cleaned up the accumulated trash along the riverbank near the Free settlement after the swimming season. This area is periodically cleaned by the townspeople.

According to activist Nail Adelshinov, the residents of the Free settlement in Astrakhan independently cleaned the local beach's shoreline of trash.

A large dump formed on the shore during the swimming season, while residents clean this area every year, Adelshinov noted on August 23 on his social media page "VKontakte".

The activist lamented that vacationers leave trash on the beach, only to return to the same spot later. He also urged parents to set an example for their children in caring for nature. "I participate in clean-up events, but I never cease to be amazed at how people behave this way, leaving everything at their place of rest, and then coming back here again," noted Adelshinov.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that Astrakhan residents periodically clean public spaces and waterway banks of trash on their own. For instance, on June 30, 2024, several dozen townspeople cleaned the area of the poplar grove, collecting dozens of bags of trash in just a few hours. On July 30, 2023, residents of Astrakhan and neighboring settlements independently cleaned the Kryvaya Bolda River in the Kiri-Kili settlement.
