As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 18, representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies officially recognized at least 1828 fighters from the Volgograd region as killed in Ukraine.
Kuvshinov signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in early April last year. He was killed on October 25, 2025, near the settlement of Kleban-Byk. He was 37 years old. He is survived by a daughter.
Thus, at least 1829 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in the SVO. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. Earlier, the administration of the Novoanninsky district reported that Private Dmitry Goremykin was killed in the zone of the military operation.
Support from the state for the families of the killed fighters is not guaranteed by either state awards, memorial plaques, or appearances on "Channel One", according to the material of the "Caucasian Knot" "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Deny Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers", which describes the stories of the killed fighters.
