The Krasnodar communist received a warning from the security forces.
Employees of the Center for Countering Extremism handed an official warning to Krasnodar City Duma deputy Alexander Safronov about the inadmissibility of abusing freedom of speech.
Employees of the Center for Countering Extremism handed an official warning to Krasnodar City Duma deputy Alexander Safronov about the inadmissibility of violating legislation under Article 13.15 of the Administrative Offenses Code. This article concerns the abuse of media freedom, which is essentially the abuse of freedom of speech.
"It is written that the employees have information that I might be abusing media freedom. Under the classification, there may be not only abuse of media freedom in my warning but also other articles - I will not voice them. I perceive all this solely as pressure on me as a candidate from the opposition party CPRF, conducting an active election campaign and raising uncomfortable questions and issues for officials. Although in this warning there are formulations like 'has information', 'might'... but we all understand what this is about. I am absolutely sure that my activities to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, helping them in drafting appeals, including to the President of Russia and the head of the Investigative Committee, do not constitute an abuse of freedom of speech," he said.
In July, Roskomnadzor declared the election newspaper of the Kuban communists, which criticized the governor, illegal, noted "Horizontal Russia".
The head of the CPRF in the Krasnodar region, State Duma deputy Nikolai Osadchy, was summoned to Roskomnadzor to draft a protocol on violating the procedure for producing or distributing media products (part 1 of Article 13.21 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation). The reason was an election newspaper criticizing the governor from United Russia, Veniamin Kondratiev.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 20, he published an appeal from the residents of the village of Defanovka against a landfill in the Tuapse district, right at the site of the streams and near the river, which poses a threat to people's health and the environment.
In September 2024, residents of the Yubileiny microdistrict in Krasnodar protested against the construction of the Christmas embankment, where, according to the new city master plan, a church was planned to be built. They explained that this is the only large recreation area in the microdistrict. Activists collected signatures for a petition to Governor Veniamin Kondratiev against the construction of the Christmas embankment. More than 3000 signatures were collected. Activist Vitaly Cherkasov and City Duma deputy Alexander Safronov were detained during the signature collection and fined by the court.
