The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Dagestan has initiated a criminal case under part 2 of article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation due to the death of a worker at a construction site in Kaspiysk.
The incident at the construction site on Kavkazskaya Street in Kaspiysk occurred on August 15. A 32-year-old tower crane operator fell from the cabin to the ground and died on the spot from the injuries sustained, reports RIA "Dagestan".
A preliminary investigation showed that the deceased was allowed to work in violation of labor protection requirements and safety rules for the operation of lifting mechanisms. An investigation is underway.
