The Sochi resident Reutt has been sent to a pre-trial detention center in a terrorism case.

The court in Sevastopol has arrested Sochi resident Margarita Reutt for two months, who was detained the day before. The woman has been charged under the article on terrorism.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", after the assassination of a high-ranking military sailor in Sevastopol, law enforcement officers detained Sochi resident Margarita Reutt. The deceased, Robert Shageev, was the commander of the only Ukrainian submarine "Zaporizhzhia" until 2014 and was accused by Ukraine of treason. Reutt was detained near the explosion site. It is claimed that she was found with a remote control that was likely used to activate the bomb.

In July 2025, Reutt was fined under the article on discrediting the army due to a malicious comment during a drone attack on the Likhaya station in the Rostov region. According to a court ruling in Hot Key, Reutt was a passenger on the Samara - Adler train, which was stopped at Likhaya station, and "expressed herself against the people of the Russian Federation and the Russian army" - in particular, she shouted: "You deserve it, Russians."

The Lenin District Court of Sevastopol has arrested Margarita Reutt, who has been charged under the article on terrorism. According to the prosecution's version, the accused, "together with other individuals," was preparing for a terrorist act since June 25.

The press service of the court referred to the accused as a "32-year-old citizen of Russia" and designated her by an initial. "The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months for R.," the message on the official court page on VKontakte states.

The article charged against the woman regarding terrorism with fatal consequences (paragraph "b" of part 3 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) provides for imprisonment from 15 to 20 years, and in some cases, life imprisonment is anticipated.

Reutt may also face charges under articles on illegal trafficking of explosives and treason, notes "Kommersant" citing sources.

It is known that the Sochi resident was involved in volunteering, in particular, she was cleaning beaches from oil in Anapa: on Margarita Reutt's social media, her photos from cleaning the shore from oil and from the bird rescue center affected by oil products are published. Pro-Kremlin media also noted her February post with the hashtag #shameofbeingrussian.
