As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 11, representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies officially recognized at least 1826 fighters from the Volgograd region as killed in Ukraine.

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the report of "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses in southern Russia are increasing".

Today in Uryupinsk, a farewell ceremony was held for 47-year-old Alexander Fimin, who was killed during combat operations in Ukraine. Fimin was born and lived in Uryupinsk, was married, and had a daughter. He voluntarily signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, according to the city's administration Telegram channel.

Thus, at least 1827 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in the Special Military Operation.
