Two people were detained in Dagestan in connection with the terrorist case.

The suspects in planning a terrorist act were detained in Dagestanskie Ogni and Kayakent.

"Employees of the SOBR 'Hawk - Caspian' of the Rosgvardiya management for the Republic of Dagestan provided force support to colleagues from the Center for Countering Extremism of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs during the detention of two local residents who were planning to commit a terrorist act," the security officials' message is quoted by RIA "Novosti."

The first suspect was detained in the city of Dagestanskie Ogni. The second suspect was apprehended by law enforcement in the village of Kayakent in the Kayakent district.

No details are provided in the message.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that a case regarding the preparation of terrorist acts in Dagestan in 2024 has been submitted for consideration to the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don, with 11 people being involved.
