The military court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Ukrainian serviceman Igor Fedchenyak to 20 years in prison, finding him guilty of participating in a terrorist community.

The sentence to Ukrainian serviceman Igor Fedchenyak was issued by the Southern District Military Court.

The court established that Ukrainian citizen Fedchenyak voluntarily joined a separate special forces unit as part of a banned regiment in Russia in February 2022 and underwent training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. From February to May of the same year, he served as a driver and transported the regiment's personnel to combat positions, as well as directly participated in combat operations, writes "Kommersant" on August 11.

The court found Fedchenyak guilty of participating in a terrorist community and training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities (part 2 of article 205.4 and article 205.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 20 years in a strict regime colony.
