Two fighters from the Volgograd region were killed in the SVO zone.

Sergey Yeremin and Mikhail Shchenikov from Kamyshin were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 1825 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 7, the authorities and security forces recognized at least 1823 fighters from the Volgograd region as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The administration of Kamyshin reported on the posthumous awards for the soldiers killed in the military operation on the official website.

The Order of Courage was awarded to the relatives of Private Sergey Yeremin, and the Zhukov Medal was given to the family of Guards Private Mikhail Shchenikov. The authorities did not provide details about the fighters' biographies and their deaths.

Thus, at least 1825 combatants from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report from "Caucasian Knot" "SVO Statistics: Losses in Southern Russia are Increasing".
