Muradis Magomedov from Khasavyurt was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 2066 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 8, officials and security forces officially named the names of at least 2065 killed soldiers from Dagestan in Ukraine.
The administration of Khasavyurt announced on its Telegram channel the transfer of the "For Courage" medal to the relatives of the killed Muradis Magomedov in the SVO zone.
The award was handed over to Magomedov's relatives by the head of Khasavyurt, Korgoli Korgoliev. The details of the soldier's biography and death were not provided in the administration's message.
Thus, at least 2066 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "SVO Statistics: Losses for Southern Russia are Growing".
In early August, it became known that Rustam Zelensky from Khasavyurt was killed in Ukraine.
State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, as stated in the material of the "Caucasian Knot" "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Deprive Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. For instance, the mother of the killed Dmitry Ukhanov said that she searched for her son's body for four months, while officials from the administration and military enlistment office inquired about the progress of the search without providing any help.
