Shop owners independently repaired the sidewalks in Nazran.

Authorities of Nazran reported that, at the request of the mayor, local shop owners repaired the sidewalks, installed curbs, and carried out comprehensive improvement of the adjacent areas.

According to the administration of Nazran, at the request of the city head Ruslan Ozdoyev, local shop owners carried out improvement works on the adjacent areas.

"Owners of commercial properties are tidying up the adjacent areas, laying asphalt, updating pedestrian zones, installing curbs, and carrying out comprehensive improvement," it is stated in a message published today on the city administration's Telegram channel.

Work is being carried out on the section from Oskanova Street to Bazorkina Avenue. This area is one of the busiest parts of the city, so its appearance is of particular importance for both residents and guests of Nazran, the mayor's office emphasized.

"The work will continue in other areas as well. Our common goal is to make Nazran cleaner, more convenient, and more beautiful, especially in this anniversary year for the city, when we celebrate the 245th anniversary of its founding," the publication states.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of Nazran and the Nazran district periodically complain about the problem of improvement and broken infrastructure. For instance, in January 2020, activists complained that the football field in Nazran is in very poor condition. The sports ministry is supposed to oversee the field, the mayor's office explained.

In March 2023, residents of the Altiyevsky district of Nazran recorded a video appeal to the authorities, complaining that there has been no gas for several days, and officials have not resolved the issue.

Residents of Nazran have also repeatedly complained about water supply issues. For example, in December 2022, residents of the village of Geirbek-Yurt in the Nazran district complained that there has been no water supply in their homes for three months, and officials are not taking action. The head of the village medical station noted that she cannot accept patients, and the head of Geirbek-Yurt explained that there is no water due to the wear of the water supply system.

The problem of water supply in Ingushetia is one of the main issues, but it is solvable, said human rights activist Magomed Mutsolgov earlier. "However, it is not visible that the authorities are trying to do this. No matter what they do, there are no positive changes," he wrote earlier in his blog on "Caucasian Knot".
