Three fighters from the Rostov region were killed in the special military operation.

Mikhail Shmelev, Anton Vysokikh, and Nikolai Svinarev were killed in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the special operation, at least 968 fighters from the Rostov region have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", earlier the authorities and security forces officially recognized that at least 965 fighters from the Rostov region were killed in Ukraine.

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report from "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the special military operation: losses in southern Russia are increasing".

In the zone of the military operation in Ukraine, servicemen Mikhail Shmelev, Anton Vysokikh, and Nikolai Svinarev were killed. Shmelev and Vysokikh were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. Svinarev has been nominated for the Order of Courage, reported the administration of Gukovo on its social media page on "VKontakte".

Thus, at least 968 fighters from the Rostov region have been officially recognized as killed in the special military operation.
