The court sentenced a resident of Stavropol to two years of probation for an image in his Telegram profile that was deemed offensive to the religious feelings of Christians.

According to the FSB of Russia for the Stavropol Territory, in March, the man set a photo with sexual content as his main profile picture.

The agency linked his actions to a violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion, as well as the illegal circulation of pornographic materials, writes "Bloknot-Stavropol" on August 8.

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Stavropol sentenced him to two years of imprisonment conditionally. In addition, he is prohibited from administering websites, pages, forums, parts, and groups on social networks for two years.
