A resident of Ingushetia received a sentence for an anti-Semitic comment

The court sentenced a resident of Ingushetia, Akromat Daurbekov, to two years in a penal colony, recognizing his comment on social media as rehabilitation of Nazism. The phone from which the man wrote about Hitler and the Jews was confiscated for state revenue.

The criminal case against 31-year-old Akromat Daurbekov was considered by the Supreme Court of Ingushetia. The man was charged with rehabilitation of Nazism via the internet (paragraph “b” of part 2 of article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia). This article provides for up to five years of imprisonment or forced labor.

The reason for the criminal case was a comment that Daurbekov left in one of the “VKontakte” communities on May 2, 2025. According to the conclusion of linguistic experts, the man positively assessed the violent actions of Adolf Hitler against the Jews, the Unified Press Service of the courts of Ingushetia reported today on its Telegram channel.

Daurbekov fully admitted his guilt and requested that his case be considered in a special manner. This procedure allows the process to be conducted without examining evidence in a shortened timeframe and to impose a sentence below the minimum limit provided by the article.

The court sentenced Akromat Daurbekov to two years in a settlement colony, prohibiting him from publishing any materials on the internet for three years after his release. The mobile phone from which the accused wrote comments about Hitler and the Jews was confiscated for state ownership.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that a resident of Makhachkala recently became a subject of a case under the article on rehabilitation of Nazism, in whose comments the security forces saw a distortion of historical information about the events of World War II.
