A fighter from the Krasnodar region was killed in Ukraine

Alexander Tsopin from the Tbilisi district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 874 fighters from the Krasnodar region have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by July 11, authorities and security forces recognized at least 873 fighters from the Krasnodar region as killed.

The administration of the Tbilisi district reported on the awarding of posthumous medals - the Order of Courage and the Order of St. George - the George Cross IV class - to the family of Alexander Tsopin, who was killed in February 2025, on its Telegram channel. No details of Tsopin's biography are provided.

Thus, at least 764 combatants from the Krasnodar region have been officially recognized as killed. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report from "Caucasian Knot" "SVO Statistics: Losses in Southern Russia are Increasing".

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, according to the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Deny Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. In particular, the widow of one of the killed recounted that without the body, the battalion did not make payments related to the death of the serviceman.
