Residents of Taganrog submitted more than 700 applications for compensation after drone attacks.
The authorities of Taganrog received 718 applications for one-time financial assistance and payments due to the complete or partial loss of property after massive airstrikes since the beginning of 2026, reported the head of the city, Svetlana Kambulo.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", residents of most houses affected by the aftermath of the night airstrike on July 29 in Taganrog were allowed to return home. However, the inspection of the apartment building that was hit by missiles will continue for several more days, and residents remain with relatives.
On July 29, the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, reported that as a result of missile debris falling on a residential apartment building, a woman was killed, and a man was also injured.
Since the beginning of the year, 718 applications have been received for one-time financial assistance and payments due to the complete or partial loss of property, reported the head of Taganrog, Svetlana Kambulo, on her page on "VKontakte" today.
According to her information, the majority of applications have already been processed, and funds have been transferred to the recipients. Currently, 46 applications remain under consideration - payments for them will be completed in the near future.
Separately, the head of the city addressed compensation for damaged or lost vehicles. She reminded that in December 2025, the governor of the Rostov region approved the procedure for payments for vehicles. "In Taganrog, these powers are assigned to the transport department," her message states.
144 people have approached the city authorities for consultation regarding damage or loss of vehicles, 90 applications have been accepted, of which 20 have been sent to the regional transport ministry, while the others are undergoing verification procedures.
Kambulo emphasized that for four private households recognized as unsuitable for restoration after the attacks, requests have been sent to the regional government for funding to purchase housing. However, there is a complication with one of the properties related to the lack of property registration in the Unified State Register of Real Estate, and the city authorities are seeking a separate legal solution for it within the framework of current legislation.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on the night of July 31, an apartment building was damaged by a drone in Gukovo, two residents were injured, and the other residents of the building were evacuated.
