The investigative department for the Adler district of Sochi has initiated a criminal case against a native of the Irkutsk region. He is accused of publicly disseminating knowingly false information containing data about the use of the Russian army, committed on the grounds of political and national hatred .
According to the investigation, in January 2024, the accused, while at his residence in Sochi, published a text message in the chat of one of the messengers, which was accessible for public viewing. The message contained knowingly false information about the actions of the Russian army during the special military operation, the press service of the investigative committee of the Krasnodar region reported today on their Telegram channel.
The name, age, and occupation of the accused, the name of the social network, and the specific content of the publications in the message are not specified. "At the request of the investigator, the court has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the accused. Necessary investigative actions aimed at collecting and securing evidence are ongoing in the criminal case," the agency's message states.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that investigators accused a resident of Krasnodar of seven episodes of disseminating fakes about the Russian army on the grounds of political and national hatred. He was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
