In a private house in the city of Ust-Djeguta, a gas cylinder exploded, injuring 11 people.
According to the Prosecutor's Office of Karachay-Cherkessia, the explosion occurred during a wedding celebration.
Initially, 10 injured people were reported, seven of whom were taken to medical facilities in Ust-Djeguta and Cherkessk, writes "Kommersant" on August 2.
It later became known that 11 people were injured, six of whom remain in medical facilities, while five others received medical assistance and were discharged home, reports "Interfax".
Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that in June there was a fire on the Mozdok-Kazimagomed main gas pipeline, and residents of several villages were evacuated. The repair of the gas pipeline was completed after four days.
