Activists held rallies in Yerevan in support of Russian prisoners.

At the embassies of Russia and Germany in Yerevan, activists held rallies in support of people they consider political prisoners.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", activists in Yerevan periodically hold rallies demanding the release of prisoners whose prosecution they consider unjust. This concerns prisoners in both Russia and European countries. Thus, on July 25, at the embassies of Russia and Germany in Yerevan, picketers expressed support for people they consider political prisoners.

Today in Yerevan, at the German embassy, activists held a rally in support of Dmitry Bagrash, who faces deportation to Russia after his release. According to the participants of the rally, the German authorities denied Bagrash parole. He did not admit guilt and continues to seek a review of his case. The picketers stated that the right to defense should not be considered as evidence of public danger, reported the Telegram channel RusNews.

Also today, a picket was held at the Russian embassy in Yerevan in support of Russian prisoners. Participants of the rally held posters depicting former governor of the Khabarovsk region Sergey Furgal, his accountant Galina Aleinikova, and her deputy Svetlana Osipenko.

It should be noted that Sergey Furgal was sentenced to 23 years in prison. In December 2025, he received a new sentence – Furgal was found guilty on economic charges under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, with a total sentence of 25 years.

According to German authorities, Dmitry Bagrash attempted to set fire to the building of the news agency RIA "Novosti" in Berlin in 2022. The investigation believes that he placed a homemade bomb in the basement of the building where agency employees lived. The bomb did not go off, and it was later found by the police, noted the Berlin newspaper Tagesspiegel on June 22 on its website.

On June 20, Bagrash was charged with attempted murder. Before his arrest, he held rallies against Vladimir Putin's policies, the publication indicated.
