The fire at the elevator occurred during a drone attack on the Rostov region.
As a result of the drone debris falling in the Millerovsky district, a cable on the roof of the elevator caught fire.
According to the governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusary, the cable fire on the roof of the elevator due to the drone debris occurred last night in the Millerovsky district.
"There are no casualties. The fire has been completely extinguished," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The air defense forces shot down almost 15 drones in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, as well as in Chertkovsky, Tarasovsky, Millerovsky, Morozovsky, Kamensky, Sholokhovsky, and Azovsky districts, Slyusary added.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Rostov region is regularly subjected to drone attacks. Thus, on the night of July 25, as a result of a drone attack, four people were injured in Rostov-on-Don and one in the Krasnosulinsky district. On July 20, the fall of drone debris led to a forest fire in the Sholokhovsky district, and on July 19, for the same reason, a wheat field caught fire in the Krasnosulinsky district.
Drone attacks on oil refineries, including in southern Russia, have led to a fuel crisis. On July 25, residents of Rostov-on-Don reported that fuel prices in the city remain high. According to them, at some gas stations, a liter of fuel costs from 100 to 150 rubles, and queues persist at the pumps.
