The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don found a resident of Astrakhan guilty of public calls for terrorism and extremism.

According to the investigation, the man born in 1978 was a supporter of a Ukrainian militarized nationalist organization.

On the internet, he wrote comments calling for terrorist acts against representatives of the authorities, writes "Kommersant" on July 31.

The court found the Astrakhan resident guilty of committing crimes under part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sentenced him to three years in a general regime correctional colony. He is also prohibited from administering websites for two and a half years.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that at the end of July, a 42-year-old resident of Astrakhan was detained, who, according to security officials, was making money transfers in favor of an extremist organization.
