Residents of Abkhazia spoke about the situation with gasoline.

In recent days, the situation with the availability of gasoline in Abkhazia has improved, but it still remains difficult, local residents noted.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", long queues appeared at gas stations in Abkhazia. On the evening of July 29, videos emerged from the "Podorozhnik" gas station, where dozens of cars lined up along the roadside; according to commentators, the fuel dispensing volume is limited to 20 liters. The authorities of Abkhazia stated that the disruptions are temporary and residents do not need to stock up on it.

Residents of Abkhazia interviewed on July 31 by a correspondent from "Caucasian Knot" reported that the situation with fuel in the republic has improved in recent days, but it still remains quite difficult.

Maka from New Athos said that although gasoline is available everywhere today, there was a shortage just yesterday. "Yesterday there were queues lasting about 30 minutes. Now gasoline is being distributed at network gas stations – somewhere 20 liters, somewhere 30 liters," she noted.

According to Maka, the price of a liter of A-95 gasoline has risen to 90 rubles. She also stated that similar queues used to arise during the influx of vacationers in the summer.

Nobi from Gagra also confirmed that all network gas stations have switched to regulated gasoline dispensing. "They dispense differently – somewhere 30 liters, somewhere 40. All private gas stations have closed," he noted.

He emphasized that queues can reach 30 minutes. Nobi estimated the price increase for gasoline at 10-15%. According to him, this crisis is the first he has seen in Abkhazia.

That such a situation has not occurred before was also noted by a driver from Sukhum, who spoke on condition of anonymity. He emphasized that gasoline is not constantly available at gas stations. "Gasoline is available at times," he remarked. However, he himself drives a diesel vehicle, which, according to him, has no issues.

Mark from Gagra began by stating that "everything is fine," then noted "difficulties and restrictions." "The restrictions are that the supply at all gas stations is limited to 20 liters. Queues can last 20-30 minutes," he noted.

At the same time, according to Mark, not all gas stations are operating. "Only part of the gas stations are working due to monopolism in the industry," he stated, noting that such a situation had not occurred before.

Shota from Gagra noted that "the situation leaves much to be desired." "Gasoline is actually available, but with queues. I refueled an hour ago, and there was a 20-minute wait. However, the queue was largely caused by the inconvenient entrance to the gas station: if it were wider, more cars could enter," he remarked.

Shota also confirmed that regulation has been introduced at all gas stations – he mentioned a figure of 30 liters.

At the same time, all interviewed drivers noted that they have not yet had to limit themselves in purchasing gasoline.
