The FSB detained a resident of the Rostov region on suspicion of treason.

Law enforcement reported the detention of an 18-year-old resident of Taganrog, who was planning a terrorist attack against Russian military personnel.

According to law enforcement agencies, the 18-year-old resident of Taganrog joined a Ukrainian paramilitary group recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation via Telegram.

He then intended to enlist in the Russian Ministry of Defense under contract to participate in the special military operation and, while on the front lines, eliminate his fellow servicemen, after which he planned to surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to switch sides.

Criminal cases have been initiated against him under the article "Treason" and "Participation in the activities of a terrorist organization" .

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Rostov Regional Court sentenced a local resident to 12 years in prison, finding him guilty of treason for transferring money to Ukrainian military personnel.
